My current research focuses on the human impacts of unconventional oil and gas development in Northwestern West Virginia (Wetzel, Doddridge, Tyler and surrounding counties). I conducted 30 interviews during the summer 2018 and one finding that has come out of my research so far is that residents are impacted by actual and potential well water contamination due to development. I am interested to learn about individuals’ experiences and perspectives on how oil and gas development has impacted water and their everyday lives. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me via email.
